Meridian Energy, the largest electricity generator in New Zealand, invests a significant amount of money and manpower each year to keep its generation assets in peak condition. Meridian's nine hydro stations generate about 30 percent of the country's electricity needs and are crucial for the growth and prosperity of the New Zealand economy. At Meridian, we believe a consolidated, optimized approach to asset management is fundamental to the continued availability and reliability of our generation plants. Condition monitoring of generating assets is a vital component of our asset management strategy.
