摘要

Authors report results of experiments to determine the pressure drop of air flowing through a roto-fluidised bed as a function of the gas velocity. Measurements revealed that the minimum roto-fluidisation gas velocity can be determined experimentally, as with conventional fluidised beds, by relatively simple means, from measurement of the pressure drop. Furthermore, the relative volume expansion of the roto-fluidised bed and the void fraction have been studied as functions of disc revolution, and relationships derived for calculation of the minimum rotation speed.
