The DOT’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is proposing changes to its hours of service (HOS) rules that it contends will increase safety on America’s roadways by updating existing regulations for commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers. The agency also said that the changes will provide about $274 million in savings for the U.S. economy and American consumers.
