Luckily, poseurs will often give themselves away, if you know what to listen for. Here are four such tip-offs: Gee, the candidate saved her previous employer $50,000 by suggesting a key manufacturing process improvement? That shows creativity and initiative! But wait a sec: She was an entry-level data input clerk. How would she become so expert on the process at issue? Claims that seem at odds with the candidate's previous job title need to be challenged.
