Put this one on your radar screen: Once again, Congress is looking at a bill that would provide paid FMLA leave.rnFour Democratic representatives have just introduced the Family Leave Insurance Act of 2009. It would require employers to offer up to 12 weeks of paid leave for employees who qualify for FMLA leave. Currently, of course, there's no requirement that FMLA leave be paid.rnThe money to pay for employee leaves would come from a new trust fund financed by employers and employees. Each party would contribute 0.2% of employees' pay.
