Chronic wasting disease (CWD) is one of many emerging infectious diseases testing organizational capacity of wildlife agencies throughout North America (Needham,Vaske,& Manfredo,2004).Organizational capacity,defined as resources (financial,physical,human) available to accomplish objectives (Yu-Lee,2002),is regularly studied and applied in business and health-care professions.Yet,few studies have been published on how capacity influences effectiveness of wildlife agencies.
