摘要

April 1999 saw the inauguration of Morocco's biggest trailing suction hopper dredger. The 1500 m~3 'Moustakbal' is by far the biggest and most advanced hopper dredger of the Moroccan dredging fleet. The versatile vessel was ordered by the Royaume du Maroc, Ministaere des Travaux Publics, Direction des Ports et du Domains Public Maritime. The exploitation of the vessel is managed by 'Dragages des Ports' Drapor S.A. based in Morocco. Main contractor of the building of the vessel is Kinderdijk-based IHC Holland, however, due to the IHC Holland's full order book and yard capacity the building, installation and technical trials were subcontracted to Shipyard Slob B.V. based in Papendrecht, all under technical supervision of IHC Engineering. The trailing suction hopper dredger 'Moustakbal' has been built under survey and to the requirements of Bureau Veritas, class Ⅰ 3/3 E * Hopper Dredger Coastal Waters (Deep Sea/occasionally national coastal service in ballast condition).
