HUBZone Program Revised in Small Business Reauthorizations Included in Omnibus Funding Bill

Congress has enacted a number of changes to the historically underutilized business zone (HUBZone) program in an effort to improve the effectiveness of the program, which is intended to direct federal contracting dollars into economically troubled areas. The changes were included in small business reautho-rization legislation that was attached to the fiscal 2005 omnibus appropriations bill (H.R. 4818).
