摘要

Government regulators criticized what they characterized as anticompetitive real estate brokerage practices at a July 25 House housing subcommittee hearing. On the other hand, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) defended the industry's current pricing methods. Justice Department and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) officials expressed concern about efforts sby some real estate brokers to get state legislatures or regulators to impose "minimum service" rules, which would require brokers to provide a certain minimum package of services.
