Portland Authority Will Use ARRA Funds as Gap Financing for Shelter

The Housing Authority of Portland, Ore., (HAP) has been awarded $3,278,370 in competitive American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) public housing capital funds which will be used as gap financing for the Resource Access Center (RAC), an eight-story building HAP is developing for the city.rnThe RAC will provide day and night temporary shelter, permanent housing, and social services to Portland's homeless population.
