The Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund is making about $2 million in fiscal 2009 funds available for a financial education and counsel-rning pilot program. A notice of funding availability (NOFA) was published in the October 16 Federal Register, and applications are due November 19.rnThe Fund expects to make five $400,000 awards to counseling agencies certified by HUD or the Treasury Department's Office of Financial Education to provide counseling to prospective low-income, moderate-income, and/or low-wealth home buyers.
