The state of Wisconsin has been deemed authorized to administer and enforce requirementsrnfor a lead-based paint repair, renovation, and painting program, and a lead-based paint pre-renovation education program, according to an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) notice published in the February 9 Federal Register.rnThe EPA is seeking comments on whether the Wisconsin programs are at least as protective as the federal programs and provide for adequate enforcement. Comments must be received by March 26, and a request for a public hearing must be submitted by February 24.
