The Treasury Department published a notice in the June 17 Federal Register a seeking comments on the long-term availability and affordability of terrorism risk insurance. Comments are due August 2.rnThe federal program for insurance against terrorism runs through December 31, 2014.rnIn addition to extending the program through 2014, the Terrorism Risk Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2007 directed the President's Working Group on Financial Markets to conduct an ongoing analysis on the availability and affordability of insurance for terrorism risk and report to Congress in 2010 and again in 2013.
