Final Regulations Issued for Continuous Section 538 Guarantee

The Rural Housing Service has issued final regulations for the Section 538 guaranteed multifamily housing loan program that provide an option for a single, continuous guarantee for construction and permanent financing. The regulations were published in the January 3 Federal Register and go into effect on February 2. The RHS made no major changes in the proposed rules published on January 29, 2010.
