BRIAN MONTGOMERY NOMINATED FOR DEPUTY SECRETARY OF HUD

On October 8, HUD announced that Brian Montgomery has been nominated by the White House to serve as HUD's Deputy Secretary. If confirmed by the Senate, he will be responsible for managing HUD's day-to-day operations, and will advise and assist Secretary Ben Carson in leading the Agency's nearly 8,000 employees. Montgomery has been serving as acting Deputy Secretary since January. He also currently serves as HUD's Assistant Secretary for Housing, and as Commissioner of the Federal Housing Administration (FHA).
