San Diego and New Zealand share a temperate clime and a love of the outdoors, so it makes sense that restaurateurs PJ Lamont and Matt Baker are determined to bring aspects of the kiwi culture they love so much into their projects. The first to accomplish that was last year's Raglan Public House in Ocean Beach. For their latest venture, Queenstown Public House in the city's Little Italy neighborhood, the duo returned to local designer Michael Soriano, who says that he and his junior designers, Alina Leyton and Dustin Towery, put a lot of thought into making sure each pub has its own identity.
