Lee Broom is a wunderkind of sorts: first as a child actor, where he was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company; then in fashion-at 17, he won a competition judged by Vivienne Westwood, who offered him a job; and now, product design, where his lighting fixtures and furniture pieces manipulate sensibilities in a playful way. "I'm'not trying to reinvent the wheel, I'm just trying to get people to look at things differently," says the London-based designer.
