April proved to be a month of change for retail execs. Maybe fiscal year closings in February and March made it a good time to move on, or perhaps it's a reflection of the broader disruption in the retail market. Here's a scorecard of who's going where. Andrew Carnie, a key player in developing the retailer's souped-up home business, stepped down as president of home, garden and international April 26 to return to the UK. Hillary Super was promoted to global president of the Anthropologic Group. In addition to her previous responsibilities overseeing the women's apparel and accessories categories and the BHLDN bridal business, she assumes oversight of the business segments previously reporting to Carnie. Chairman, president and CEO Thomas Kingsbury announced he will cede his role around Sept. 16 after more than 10 years at the helm. He will serve as executive chairman of the board during a transition. Michael O'Sullivan, who recently exited Ross Stores as president and chief operating officer, will succeed Kingsbury and will take a seat on the board. Jennifer Vecchio, chief merchandising officer and principal, was appointed to the newly created role of president, chief merchandising officer. She continues to oversee merchandising and planning and also takes on marketing and strategy.
