1888 Mills Unveils Freshee Brand

Bad odors be gone. 1888 Mills and IntelliFresh, a built-in odor protection application, have joined forces for a new collection of sheets, towels and shower curtains dubbed Freshee. The products, all made in Pakistan at 1888 Mills' production facility, have been enhanced with IntelliFresh, which is powered by Silvadur- a patented technology created for textiles and designed to intelligently inhibit the growth and minimize the presence of unwanted odor-causing and nuisance bacteria that are prominent on consumer goods. Silvadur also boasts other attributes. Its active ingredient is approved by the International Oeko-Tex Association and is registered with the Environmental Protection Agency and supported under the Biocidal Products Registry. Over the past decade or so, high efficiency (HE) washing machines have dominated the laundry appliance market. While they offer many sustain-ability-related benefits, including more economical use of water and energy, some consumers argue these washers fall short in removing dirt and odors from clothing and linens.
