Mew Railway Bridge successfully installed on A46 Newark to Widmerpool improvement scheme

The A46 project team worked day and night over the Christmas holidays to successfully install a new railway bridge as part of our A46 Newark to Widmerpool improvement in Nottinghamshire. The scheme to build a new 17-mile dual carriageway, which will improve safety and reduce congestion, is expected to be completed in summer 2012. The new A46 needs to go under the existing railway line at Bingham, so the new bridge has been provided to take the railway over the road.
