In late 2004 I reviewed the Pro-Ject RPM 9x alongside its cheaper RPM 6 sibling. At the time the 9x took over from the original 9 as Pro-Ject's top deck. Since then the range has been expanded and reorganised so there's now an RPM 10 as the top model (see test in Hi-Fi News. April 2006]. The original 9 and 9x have been dropped from the range and replaced with the new 9.1 and 9.1x respectively which retail at £1000 each.
