I have just received the revised format magazine and it certainly looks easy to navigate. I was more than happy with the older version, so am impartial when it comes to the new format style. Still, the Hi-Fi News verdict is now restricted to sound quality only, which I think should be changed to include the previous markings for 'features' and 'build' as a minimum. In addition, the technical areas always described the technology in detail, such as the chip set used or if a DSP implementation had been employed. Pictures of the insides of the equipment assisted greatly in the reader being able to understand the quality and construction of a component, which helped in determining the value.
