Introduced in 1975, the Yamaha CT-7000 is thought by some audiophiles to be the best FM tuner to come out of Japan. Under the lid can be found no fewer than 132 transistors along with seven integrated circuits - all this deemed necessary to implement a mechanically-tuned FM tuner with no fancy extras such as automatic search tuning, station presets or digital frequency readouts.
