At the heart of Leema's new Elements amplifier is the NXP Semiconductors TDA8954 Class D switching amplifier module. Leema is using a linear rather than switch mode PSU but, in common with all single-ended Class D amps, stored charge in the output filter inductors can 'commutate' back onto the power rails, pumping-up the PSU rail in tune with the music, especially the low frequency beat.
