Covered here in SACD form in HFN Jan '12, it merited 90%. This vinyl version? It's so good that there aren't really enough points to express the gains, and the Editor discourages 100% scores as they denote 'perfection'. A high-resolution system, though, will reveal audibly - more air, greater front-to-back depth and the simple sensation that it's, well, analogue… like real life. It remains one of the milestone albums in the singer-songwriter genre, and I'd be surprised if your library doesn't already have the LP that gave us 'Where Do the Children Play?', 'Wild World', 'Sad Lisa' and other genuine classics. It remains breathtakingly 'human' and, in this incarnation, truly magnificent-sounding.
