As if to confound those who'd have you believe that hi-fi separates are on their last legs, 2016 is shaping up as being a vintage year for new products and innovative designs - not to mention one showing that, even in the 'computer audio' age, there's still scope for tweaking and experimentation. With the throughput of products required to feed the voracious animal that is the HFN reviews machine, it's easy to lose track of what one reviewed and when - especially when reviews may be written months ahead of their appearance in print. So the experiences one tends to remember are the really outstanding products, and two speaker series in particular fit that bill.
