In his review of the Pass Labs INT 250 amplifier that appeared in the Nov 2017 issue, Ken Kessler tells us that it invites 'concentrated listening' and yields 'detail galore'. Not enough, though, to prevent Ken committing one of the classic mondegreens - or misheard lyrics - in The Small Faces' 'Lazy Sunday'. After three paragraphs of waxing lyrical about the band, the song and listening in both mono and stereo Ken still hears 'Ow's your bird's lumbago?'. The actual words are, of course, 'Gor blimey hello Mrs Jones/How's your Bert's lumbago?'. A 'bird' in Cockney slang is a girlfriend, so that might confuse poor old Mrs Jones a bit. Let alone Dick Van Dyke!
