Regular readers may have noticed that I sometimes bemoan the lack of communication between the worlds of high-fidelity playback and professional audio. Usual tropes include alerting audiophiles to well-designed gear intended for pro use, but perfectly suitable for use at home, or prodding hi-fi designers to emulate the dynamic capabilities of professional stuff.
