摘要

Andrew Everard's 'Forum affairs' Opinion piece [HFN Jan '19] resonated for me on a couple of levels - not least because I agree that manufacturers have a duty to communicate with their customers, but also because of his mention of having managed online forums, in the process having been threatened with 'an early demise' by hi-fi fanatics of one persuasion or another. It's amazing how seriously some people take their involvement in what should be a pleasant hobby. Prior to joining HFN, I was on the editorial staff of a pair of technophile publications. During one meeting, I was asked if I might be interested in moderating the audio journal's online forum. I have to say that I declined.
