Primed for action

The International Maritime Organisation's (IMO) Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) held its 73rd session in London this past November 27 to December 6. Although many topics were on the agenda, much of the meeting's time was taken up with developing a list of topics to be shared out among the various IMO committees and sub-committees over the coming years, all aimed at eliminating substandard shipping in general and substandard tankers in particular.
