Rush and a push

The UN Sub-committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (TDG) held its 22nd session in Geneva this past December 2 to 6. Its primary aim was to agree the changes to the UN model regulations that, once confirmed by the parent Committee, would be published in the 13th revised edition of the Orange Book. Experts from 21 countries were in attendance, along with observers from three more. Representatives were also present from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), the Internationa] Maritime Organisation (IMO), the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Intergovernmental Organisation for International Carriage by Rail (OTIF) and 19 non-governmental organisations. Sergio Benassai (Italy) was once more elected to the chairwith Frits Wybenga (US) as vice-chairman.
