Following its acquisition by One Equity Partners and a necessary period of cultural adjustment, LBC is poised to announce some new investment in both existing capacity and services and in acquisitions. LBC, the Paris-based bulk liquids terminal operator, is investing something like ?3 Om in its existing network of facilities in Europe and the US. More cash is available, says chief executive Niels von Hombracht, should acquisition opportunities arise. "We are not challenging Vopak's leading position," Von Hombracht says. "We could never catch up really. Our strategy is to offer the market a good, competitive alternative in terms of expertise, quality and global coverage where chemical storage is concerned,"
