China Less than twelve months ago Stolthaven had yet to enter China. Now the company has established two firm footholds in the region in joint ventures with local enterprises. The latest terminal, located at a strategic point on China's eastern coast, was announced just before New Year. Stolthaven Terminals closed an eventful 2006 with news that it will expand its presence in China. Late last month, the Stolt-Nielsen Transportation Group (SNTG) subsidiary announced plans to build a chemical and oil products terminal on China's east coast at Daxie Island, Ningbo, in a 50/50 joint venture with China top-500 company CITIC Group.
