Surtons International, the global tank container operating division of UK-based Suttons Group, is investing more than £3.2m in the current phase of its tank container fleet development programme, the company reports. An order for 200 26,000-litre, baffled tanks is being built by South Africa-based manufacturer Welfit Oddy, while a further 20 24,000-litre, high-insulation tanks are being built by Nantong Tank Container (NTtank), based in China. All of the new tanks are expected to be delivered to Suttons this month.
