Two young men in Northern Ireland must have feared the worst when they crashed their car into a road tanker last month. They probably thought the end was nigh when their car burst into flames. But they reckoned without the resourcefulness of tanker driver Michael Coyle. For what Michael was driving was not a tanker full of highly flammable fuel, but a load of milk on its way to Lakeland Dairies in Killeshandra. Seeing the two men were trapped in a burning car, he attached a hose to the tanker and sprayed the fire with milk, probably saving their lives — although both were seriously hurt.
