The UN Sub-committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (TDG) held its 43rd session this past June in Geneva. The meeting was the first of four scheduled during the current biennium to agree the changes that will appear in the 19th revised edition of the UN Model Regulations. The meeting, chaired by Jeff Hart (UK), was attended by experts from 22 countries, observers from Romania, Slovakia and Zambia, and representatives from the European Union (EU), the Intergovernmental Organisation for International Carriage by Rail (OTIF), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and 31 non-governmental organisations.
