Big end bearing surveillance

So far there was hardly a service friendly way of monitoring the connecting rods big end bearings in large diesel engines. The tough operating environment and typical mechanical tolerances of such engines kept earlier solutions from being a success. Now, however, a new system is in its test phase, pioneered from the R&D lab of Dr. E. Horn. This system has been specially designed for marine applications from the beginning and makes big end bearing surveillance in large diesel engines a reality.
