The influence of regional and local fuel quality requirements on ship Operation

For one fuel ships the calculation of the amount of expensive low sulphur fuel burnt outside SECA before entry and after leaving is recommended as basis for decision to retrofit additional tanks etc. If this is not possible tables should be onboard to assist the crew in planning and performing fuel changeover and to convince the Administrations that the ship did comply with the requirements at entry into the SECA.
