Contract for Tuas mega port

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and the Dredging International Asia-Pacific-Daelim Joint Venture (DDJV) have signed a contract for the Tuas Terminal Phase 1 Reclamation, Wharf Construction and Dredging Project. It entails the construction of a new port terminal with 20 deep-water berths having a total capacity of 20 mill.TEU per annum. The Joint Venture will be responsible for the erection of an 8.6-kilometre quay wall and its foundation, the dredging of the fairway and basins, as well as the reclamation of 294 hectares of new land, the DEME Group informed as one of the partners.
