When I weave for shows or exhibits, my goals are very different from when I'm weaving for my own pleasure. For exhibits, I strive for something that has a new twist or some extra pizzazz. My focus is to develop new techniques, incorporate new yarns, or create a new garment shape. Much experimenting, sampling, and weaving occurs (often including starting the process all over again!) as I look for something to emerge that can be worked into an exhibit-quality piece. During this process I don't keep track of the time involved or the cost of materials.
