My favorite issue is the very first issue-September 1979. There had never been a project magazine for weavers, and it wasn't yet clear that it was a good idea. Somehow, I thought we had to have fifty projects in the issue, or people would feel cheated. Fifty! I made at least eight or ten projects myself for that issue, and my favorite is a little silk purse with a single blooming leaf overshot motif on it. On the other end of the scale was the poncho that I finger wove out of fat lopi yarn in natural shades, because we needed some no-loom projects. You know, something for everyone.
