Zur Schonung der Ressourcen und zur Senkung von Emissionen setzt Opel daher seit Jahren auf Fahrzeuge, die mit alternativen Kraftstoffen wie Erdgas, Biomethan oder einer beliebigen Mischung von beidem (BioErdgas) betrieben werden können. Mit dem innovativen Monovalent~(plus)-Konzept hat Opel als erster Hersteller seine Gasfahrzeuge auf maximale Effizienz im Biomethan- / Erdgasbetrieb ausgelegt. Mit bisher ca. 46000 gebauten Erdgasfahrzeugen zählt Opel zu den führenden Anbietern von Erdgasfahrzeugen in Europa. For years Opel focuses on cars, which can be driven with alternative fuels like natural gas, biomethane or any mixture of both (BioNaturalGas) to save resources and reduce emissions. With its innovative Monovalent~(plus)-concept Opel achieved as one of the first manufacturers maximum efficiency in operating its NGVs on biomethane or natural gas. Opel is one of the leading suppliers of natural gas vehicles in Europe with 46000 cars built so far.
