With his “physics of human relations” Kurt Lewin wanted to show human behavior to be predictable. While watching a group-experiment he was confronted by quite surprising reactions of the group-members. More by chance than willingly—as the myth refers—he was urged to leave his passive function as an observer and to communicate to the group his observations. Thus he discovered the importance of giving feedback to a group in order to initiate a group-process and to start it/to put it into operation. The so-called T-group-process works in a transcendental way and overcomes the subject-object-split. However, there the question arises whether the idea of predicting human’s behavior would be revived because of the extensive digitizing of all areas of life and the thereof resulting algorithm. How much influence upon us would have all the data collected without our knowing?
