Democrats to court conservative support for new carbon levy bill

Two Democratic senators will unveil their proposal to price carbon tomorrow at a right-leaning think tank that has sometimes championed a revenue-neutral carbon levy. Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) and Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) will roll out their bill to price carbon tomorrow afternoon at the American Enterprise Institute, which has participated in some discussions in recent years aimed at seeing a levy gain traction.
