Texas has joined more than a half-dozen other states in challenging U.S. EPA's recentlyrnadopted ambient air quality standard for ozone.rnThat threshold of 70 parts per billion "is not supported by scientific data," Texas AttorneyrnGeneral Ken Paxton (R) said in a news release last week, a few days after filing the petitionrnfor review with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. "Areas of therncountry that fail to comply with these impossible standards will be subject to costly newrnregulations that will harm our economy and kill jobs."
