Court grants EPA delay in suit on Calif. diesel emissions rules

A federal court has agreed to delay oral arguments in an industry lawsuit to give U.S. EPA time to review California's special authority to regulate emissions from diesel equipment like bulldozers. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted the delay to EPA yesterday over California's objections. Oral arguments in the case had been scheduled for May 18. EPA must update the court in 90 days on its review.
