Wrong All Over the Map

In the article "Taiwan Dominates PND Manufacturing as Unit Volumes Soar," [LBS Insider, July issue] the author used words "island nation" to describe Taiwan. It's not appropriate, just as we should not call Hawaii an "island nation." Thernauthor also listed Taiwan (a region) parallel with China and Korea (countries). It is both geographically and politically wrong. As a journal related to geography science, it is important to provide the readers with facts and precise knowledge. While GPS can navigate global positions by XYZ coordinates, can it also tell the correct jurisdiction such as countryation, state, or county, and so on?
