McNeiius Truck & Manufacturing recently won a contract to provide more than 40 compressed natural gas-powered (CNG) split body rear loader refuse vehicles. The trucks will be placed into service in the greater Toronto area. The vehicles are designed for dual-stream garbage collection. The equipment is available in two body sizes, 25-and 32-cubic-yard units, as well as two different configurations. Fleet managers can choose either a 60/40 or a 75/25 split. Dual tailgates on the vehicle operate independently of each other, and controls on both sides of the tailgate allow for packing from either side of the truck.
