Optoelectronics industry boosted by Xiamen

Backed by preferential policies from the local government, Xiamen in Fujian province has become a key technology transmission base between mainland China and Taiwan manufacturers of optoelectronic products.rnStrong support from the administration has attracted four more Taiwan-based companies to set up production facilities in the Xiamen Torch Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone. These are theTPV Group, TPK Touch Solutions Inc., Sunplus Technology Co. Ltd andTaiwan Audio &Video NetworkTechnology Co. Ltd. Their total investment has exceeded $100 million, which poured in from February to June 2009.
