The project received a final LEED Silver certification in June 2014. The thermal profile created by the white geomem-brane proved to be an important contributing factor. In addition to contributing to LEED achievement, the white geomembrane liner also provided the following benefits: 1. cost-effective secondary containment system. 2. ease of maintenance, inspection, and repair. 3. improved working environment in summer months due to reduced heat gain. 4. proven long-term performance. 5. rapid installation. 6. reduced thermal contraction and expansion.
